   Cusco - Pikillacta - Tipon - Andahuaylillas Church

   Our adventure begins in the city of Cusco, where we will depart in the morning to ensure a full, enriching experience. The drive to our first destination offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into the local way of life. Our knowledgeable guides will provide insights into the area’s history, making the journey as informative as it is scenic.

      Pikillacta and Tipon

      Pikillacta, our first stop, is a testament to the Wari people’s architectural genius and strategic urban planning. Here, we will explore the ancient ruins, marveling at the vast network of buildings and defensive structures. This site offers a unique opportunity to understand the pre-Inca civilization’s contributions to Andean culture. Next, we journey to Tipon, an Inca site celebrated for its advanced irrigation systems and agricultural terraces. Spanning across the mountainside, these terraces are a living example of the Inca’s harmony with nature. We will walk among the terraces. We will learn how the Incas utilized natural springs to engineer a complex water distribution system.

      Andahuaylillas Church

      Our final destination is the Andahuaylillas Church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas”. It has an exquisite interior art. Dating back to the 16th century, the church boasts impressive frescoes, gold leaf altars, and intricate wood carvings. It’s a peaceful place to reflect on the day’s explorations before we head back to Cusco.
